Monsoon Rains
The rain is actually, in my opinion, kind of an endearing thing about Thailand because often times the rain only occurs for about an hour, cools things down a bit, and then the sun comes right back out and you can enjoy the rest of the day. Of course, sometimes it pours for days, and really hard. Thats what the video is – turn on your sound so you can hear how loud the rain is.

Big Buddha
This is the Big Buddha situated on top of a large hill in Chalong. Its a pretty impressive sight. I went up there with Mike and Brendan and got blessed by the monks and given a lucky banana
lol. The view from up top is gorgeous as well.

Chalong Pier
This gorgeous view was taken from Chalong Pier, and you can see from the pictures (maybe) there are plenty of boats and speed boats to take you out the the surrounding islands for some of the best snorkeling and diving in the world.

Kata Beach
I took a little trip today over to the other side of the island to Kata beach. It was actually only about a 20 minute scooter ride, but any driving in this country is a bit scary
So the other Thai beaches I showed you were a joke compared to these. I’m not sure the photos will do them justice, but they literally took my breath away. I thought I was actually in a postcard – gorgeous white sand, crystal clear water, hot sun… and oh ya, the obligatory resorts piled one on top of another (actually Club Med has a place here that looked really nice). Oh well, I myself was wishing I had a night or two in some of those deluxe suites. Here are the photos…
